How long have you been in your profession?
I have been with Pure Ideas since April 2020. I joined during the lockdown, which was quite an experience, as everyone was only just adapting to working from home.
What attracted you to the profession?
I was approached about the role of Commercial Director after having previously worked with several people within the business. What attracted me to the business was the people and working culture.
What are you most passionate about in your role?
Externally, I am passionate about our clients and giving them the best customer experience that we can give them.
Internally, I am passionate about our people. Every single member of our team plays a vital role in the success of the business, and I really believe in their development and growth.
What is the most important aspect of Intellectual Property when it comes to our clients?
All aspects of IP are important, it will depend upon the client’s individual business.
What does your team say about you?
“Like so many of us, Katia was completely unfamiliar with IP when she joined but she has dived in head first and immersed herself in the world of Patents and Trade Marks. Katia supports the team and is focused on us being our best, by giving all that she can to make that happen.”
What are your interests outside work?
I love to travel! I have a particular passion for Italy (must be those Italian roots!) and I love to ski. I have recently started yoga and I like taking my chocolate Labrador Barney out on walks. He is also a regular at our Stratford Office.
Tell us a fact that none of your work colleagues knows.
At the age of 5, I skied straight into a queue of beginners waiting for a ski lift, knocked them all over like skittles, and then queue jumped!
