How long have you been in your role?
I’ve worked in various positions within Patent Renewals since 2002 and I’ve been with Pure Ideas since November 2021.
What attracted you to the profession?
Pure Ideas has a flexible approach that’s needed with a young family. I wanted to stay within the profession as I enjoy the role. Pure Ideas offered me the best of both worlds.
What are you most passionate about in your role?
Complex queries give me a buzz and there’s nothing like putting a client’s mind at rest when something may have gone awry. It’s also a nice feeling to pay a 20th-year renewal for a client. It’s satisfying seeing their patent through from start to finish.
What advice would you give people looking to protect their IP?
Plan, plan, plan, and plan some more! Leaving things to the last minute can get very stressful and no one likes a missed deadline!

What are your interests outside work?
Long relaxing holidays, eating out, spa days and fun days out with the kids. I love a Netflix binge too, anything from Stranger Things to Selling Sunset!
Tell us a fact that none of your work colleagues knows.
When I was younger, I used to go horse riding and one day a horse stood on my foot and popped a bone out of place. I never got it fixed and I now have a lovely reminder of those happy days.
